Manuel Antonio: A Must See
Amber and I have decided. There is one place you have to see if you visit Costa Rica. Manuel Antonio National Park.
We went to Manuel Antonio last spring with Amber’s aunt (Paula) and cousin (Brooke). But that was right after my knee surgeries, so we weren’t able to hike in the park and see the sites around town. This time around we did the park, the beach, and the restaurants. Everything was great.
We saw lizards, deer, three types of monkeys, raccoons, iguanas, pizotes, sloths (see if you can find him in the picture), and dozens of different types of birds. It was like walking through a zoo (without the cages). If you go to Manuel Antonio spend at least a day in the park. And don’t pay for a tour guide. You can spot plenty of animals on your own.
Of course another draw to Manuel Antonio is the beach. That ain’t bad either.
One final suggestion on Manuel Antonio: stay in La Posada Hotel. Nice, clean rooms; great location (practically in the park, walking distance to the beach); wonderful staff and service.
There you have it. “The locals” say Manuel Antonio is a must see. Plan accordingly. Pura vida!

Hi Dear Hearts,
Oh, I’m so glad you all were able to return to Manuel Antonio again. Is La Posada Hotel that little hotel where we rented the beach chairs when we were there? Praying for you all as you transition and so looking forward to seeing you soon! Much love, (Aunt) Paula
