50 for February: Our Wacky Monthly Support Goal
Here’s the backdrop: Nicaragua is one of the poorest nations in the Western Hemisphere. The people desperately need medicine, strong Christian leadership and Spirit-filled churches. Most importantly they need Christ’s message of hope. Our passion is serving the people of Nicaragua. The vehicle for living this out is Christ for the City International in Managua. And our goal is to join the team in time to help them host five short-term mission teams in March!
One thing I’ve learned since taking the blind, flying leap into full-time mission work is that you have to take blind, flying leaps. Here is a leap that conventional wisdom would say is impossible:
Fifty monthly supporters signing up with CFCI by February.
God has a funny way of responding to our crazy, sure-to-fail, faith-filled pleas. I have plenty of examples I could point to (including here and here). I’m sure you do too. So, this is our prayer: for God to provide 50 individuals, families, or churches to partner with us in ministry, working together to bring help and hope to Nicaragua.
