Tour Stop: Chapel Hill, NC

Jan 4th, 2008 by Nathan | 3

I was a bit premature in telling you that the World Tour was winding down…

After some fun and relaxation with the family in Charlotte for New Year’s, we drove up to Chapel Hill to visit with friends…and to catch a Carolina basketball game with my brother! That’s right, we were in Blue Heaven!

Then I took Amber to lunch at a Chapel Hill landmark: Sutton’s Drug Store. I was shocked to see that a snapshot of me from college was still on Sutton’s famous Wall of Pictures. And I noticed some of my good friends from school still on the wall too (here and here). Oh, and not only that, but we saw Woody Durham - live and in person - at Sutton’s too! Sorry, I’m going off on a Tar Heel tangent. Here are some pics of our one-day trip to Chapel Hill…

Chapel Hill 003
Our friends Mike and Brie Bierman and Jayn and Dave Anderson.

Chapel Hill 008
Capital of College Basketball: The Dean Dome.

Chapel Hill 005
Look at all of those pretty banners.

Chapel Hill 010
Me and my brother, Andy. The picture didn’t quite turn out, but at least there’s beautiful scenery in the background!

Can you tell I’m a Tar Heel fanatic?

For those reader’s who go back with me to college days, see if you can spot your picture in one of the Sutton’s picture. And extra credit to anyone who can name one of the athletes pictured (hint: there’s more than one…and basketball and football are represented).

    Nathan,
I hope you didn’t try any hurdles over the bleachers this time!
When will you guys be back here in Charlotte to hang out with us?

Hey Corinne! No, I kept both feet firmly on the ground!!!

We are back in Charlotte today and tomorrow, then going back to Charleston for 10 days on Sunday. If y’all would like to hangout possibly Saturday night, give us a call. :-)
