Super Sunday

Yesterday was a Super Sunday for a number of reasons:
- A great Super Bowl game. Go Giants! (My Heels won too.)
- An incredible church service at Nexus in downtown Charlotte. It was the most diverse church I’ve ever attended: black, white, Hispanic, African (from eight different countries to be exact), Spanish speaking, French speaking, urban and suburban. The singing was worshipful. The preaching was powerful. And the fellowship was preternatural. It was amazing.
- A day of rest before a busy, busy week. We’re really getting things done…and getting down to the wire this week. We have our home study and psychologist appointment for our adoption, I’m picking out our new retirement plan, we’re meeting up with family and friends around Charlotte, and we’re hoping to book (at least one) plane ticket to Nicaragua! (More on that later.)
