Nathan’s Doing Another Blog?
Yes, it’s true. I’m officially a blogaholic. But it’s not just that I love building sites from scratch, watching them grow in to pretty new stops on the Information Superhighway (does anyone even say that anymore?!). I have a lot to say! And I don’t want to veer off course from the purpose of Missions Minded, which is to give you glimpses of life and ministry in Nicaragua.
So, you can find my latest self-indulgence at nathanbabcock.com. The focus of the blog is “life, leadership, and modern missions” — basically, anything I’m thinking about that doesn’t fit nicely into the theme of missionsminded.org. Here’s an excerpt:
I’m sitting in my favorite coffee shop on a Saturday morning — enjoying my latte and people-watching. Sunny weekend freedom. Ideas start popping into my brain, one after another. Some are insignificant: Remember to get gas on the way home. Ugh, that’ll cost me. Others are big. I mean really big. Ideas that will change the world. (I’m sure of it!) Better ways to do ministry. Reaching the world through “missions of compassion,” new technology, even blogging. Thoughts on leadership from that book I was reading the other day. Random questions about life. Whose cruel idea was it for the word “lisp” to have an “s” in it? I grab a napkin and start writing…
That’s what this blog is about.
Thanks for joining me at the coffee shop.
There, that’s the first and last time I’ll plug my new blog. If you decide to follow me other there, I thank you. And of course I’m deeply grateful for your prayers and support. Amber and I would not be doing what we’re doing without you!
