Unpacking a Week of Strategizing
CFCI-Nicaragua just wrapped up a week of strategizing, organizing, visioncasting, planning for 2009. We packed a ton of information into a short period of time (three days), but I think we were all satisfied with the results. Here are the topics we covered:
- Personal highs and lows of 2008
- Team homeruns, singles, and strikeouts of ‘08
- STM Guessing Game: home many short-term mission teams did we host this year?
- The Team Machine: how to make CFCI-Nicaragua run like a well-oiled machine
- The Flower Exercise (from “What Color is Your Parachute?”): personal job assessment
- Recasting CFCI-Nicaragua’s Vision
- Setting meaningful goals for 2009, developing action plans, and anticipating obstacles
- Dream Teams: with no restraints or limitations, what’s the short-term mission team of your dreams?
- Cultivating Partners: improving our church partnerships in the U.S. and Nicaragua
- Dissecting and Reconstructing the STM Process
- Scheduling 2009 STMs
As you can see, we were busy!
Once I recovered from the meeting overload hangover, I stepped back, looked at the vision and the plan for 2009, and decided…
That I cannot wait to serve with the CFCI-Nicaragua team for another year!
