My Favorite Twitter Tools: Twictionary
This week I’m talking about my favorite Twitter tools. I don’t know how practical today’s “tool” is, but it’s pretty funny: Twictionary, a repository for all sorts of manglings of the English language as used on Twitter. Again, I don’t know how useful these words are in the real world (or even in Twitter world), but they are pretty funny. Here are a few examples:
egotwistical — Tending to talk excessively about oneself on Twitter
twacklog — a backlog of tweets
twammer — Twitter + spammer
twawkward — being awkward on Twitter
tweeps – Twitter + peeps (friends)
tweet — n: single message seen on Twitter, v: act of posting to Twitter
tweethearts – Twitter + sweetheart(s)
tweetspeak — an effect of compulsive posting of tweets, causes excessive compression of thoughts to fit 140 characters
tweetup — Twitter + meetup: a gathering of folks based on a twitter conversation (often impromptu)
tweezure — Twitter seizure
twerminology — the study of Twitter terminology
twinsight – a new insight realized via Twitter.
twissues — when twitter application has problems or is broken
twitterrhea — a high volume, unpleasant and - occasionally - messy blast of tweets; can sometimes be contagious
Do you have any favorite twords? That’s Twitter words…twords…I just made that up…careful on the pronuncitwation…this is a little twawkward…
