With only a couple of weeks left as missionaries in Nicaragua, I’ve been thinking about how I’m going to spend our remaining time here. Here are the things I’m plan to do in the next two weeks, my Nicaragua “Bucket List”:
Drink as much cocao as humanly possible.
Get my fill of Central American cuisine…especially quesillos, pescosones, [...]
We received some great news today: Mi Familia, the government agency in charge of adoptions in Nicaragua, approved us for adoption!
We are now officially — after two years of waiting — “in line” to receive the referral of a child!
We still have a long way to go — we hear that the average [...]
So many of you have emailed us and sent us messages on Facebook and Twitter this week letting us know that you’re praying for “Baby Babcock”. We want to thank each and every one of you…
And beg you to keep praying!

Have a wonderful Independence Day weekend!
Amber and I are going to enjoy our Saturday chillaxing at Laguna de Apoyo, a beautiful crater lake in Nicaragua. (We’ll snap some pictures for you.) We hope your 4th of July weekend is just as fun and relaxing. Shoot some fireworks for us!
We had a fantastic week in Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee visiting family and friends. Our travel arrangements left something to be desired, but once we got over the jet lag we really enjoying catching up and sharing laughs with parents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, and cousins!
