The Importance of Prayer
Prayer will pave the way to a truly successful trip, both naturally and spiritually. The STM participants and the host missionaries must join in prayer for the specific needs listed below. Of course this is not an all-inclusive list. We have to be sensitive to the guidance of the Holy Spirit as you pray. Commit yourself to pray for the trip and ask you family, friends, and pastors to pray for you and the team for specific needs and concerns:
- Pray that the evangelical team and the spiritual counselors will speak His Word with boldness.
- Pray that many signs and wonders would be done in the name of Jesus (Acts 4:29-30).
- Pray that the Lord will supply all the material needs of the participants for this project and that they will have peace of mind as they leave family and loved ones behind.
- Pray that we will have wisdom in the work we will be doing.
- Pray that the Lord will provide all the medicine, supplies, and construction funds needed for this mission.
- Pray for team unity.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will prepare the hearts of those to whom we will be ministering.
- Pray that the Holy Spirit will draw people to the Lord Jesus.
- Pray for good weather during the trip and for protection, safety, and health.
- Pray that the local church will have wisdom and anointing to handle those that have come to the Lord during outreaches.
